Ygam has committed to supporting our nation's military personnel by signing the Armed Forces Covenant.

The nonprofit has a history of supporting military families and individuals through initiatives such as an inclusive recruiting strategy and more time off for reservists to train.

Ygam, however, has now publicly declared its support, adding its name to the vast number of prominent organizations—including Sky UK—that have already joined the Armed Forces Covenant.

Ygam's chief executive, Dr. Jane Rigbye, explained that the company places a high value on supporting the Armed Forces Covenant.

We take great pride in our partnerships with other organisations that support our nation's military troops, both active and retired.

"As a company that values its social impact, the lives of people in the UK, and our team members, this is a logical next step for us."

There are more than 40 people working for Ygam, including two reservists. Sam Robinson heads up Ygam's education initiatives in Wales in his role as education manager for the organisation.

A lance corporal in the Royal Monmouthshire Royal Engineers, he is also a reservist in the army.

Robinson commented: “Reservist careers give you lots of new and varied experiences, the fact Ygam has chosen to recognise and value that is hugely important, and by showing that support through the Covenant shows a real and enduring commitment to the armed forces family.”

The bronze award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) was also bestowed upon Ygam.

Other recent news includes Ygam's unveiling yesterday of an educational framework to enlighten youth about the harms of gambling, along with numerous other charities.
